About the role
- Lead sourcing and acquisition of equipment supporting Seagate Wafer Operations and Head/Media Development teams in the U.S.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Seagate teams and suppliers across the U.S. and Europe to deliver solutions aligned with Seagate’s roadmap and production requirements.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify best-in-class suppliers and drive strategic sourcing decisions.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms; develop and manage contracts with suppliers.
- Monitor cost, schedule, and performance of major contracts through regular supplier interactions and business reviews.
- Engage with global counterparts in the U.S., Europe, and Asia on project-specific initiatives.
Requirements
- Previous roles in Commodity Management, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
- Direct experience working with external suppliers and/or customers.
- Skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field with 5+ years of experience.
- Comfortable working independently and in collaborative team environments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; able to present to all levels of management, including executives.
- Ability to integrate business and technical information into your decision making.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Flexible to accommodate meetings with international teams and suppliers outside standard hours.
