About the role
- Propose, model, and analyze experimental data for new reader and/or thermomechanical designs
- Collaborate with other thermomechanical and HDM teams to ensure new designs are compatible with a product environment
- Provide physical insight into characteristics and underlying physical mechanisms of new reader designs
- Work with other designers and wafer process teams to build new reader and/or thermomechanical designs
Requirements
- Experience in magnetic transducer design
- Experience in optical design and/or measurement
- Experience with wafer processing
- Experience in the disk drive industry
