About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service to all customers, assisting them with product inquiries, sizing, styling advice, and purchases.
- Meet and exceed sales goals by effectively communicating product features and benefits, upselling additional items, and driving customer satisfaction.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems, handling cash, credit, and other forms of payment securely.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment, including restocking merchandise, arranging displays, and ensuring product availability.
- Stay informed about current trends, product offerings, and promotions to provide accurate information and recommendations to customers.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store objectives, including participating in meetings, training sessions, and special projects as required.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding store operations, safety guidelines, and inventory management to ensure compliance and minimize shrinkage.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing merchandise shipments, conducting regular inventory counts, and identifying discrepancies to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating complex issues to management as needed to ensure swift resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent work and educational experience.
- Previous customer service or retail experience required.
- Available to work shifts as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate fluctuating business needs and staffing requirements.
- All candidates must pass a background check prior to employment.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Frequent, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Ability to stand and walk moderate distances for the entire shift.
