About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with the Events team to plan and develop creative and diverse banquet menus.
  • Ensure that menus align with client preferences, dietary restrictions, and event themes.
  • Supervise and participate in the preparation and cooking of banquet dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Monitor food presentation and ensure that all dishes meet the highest standards of taste and visual appeal.
  • Lead and motivate the banquet kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to kitchen staff to maintain a high level of efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
  • Address any issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain the highest standards of food quality.
  • Oversee kitchen operations during banquet events, ensuring smooth coordination between various kitchen stations.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain a well-organized and clean kitchen environment.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the kitchen.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work and educational experience
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred
  • Proven experience as a Banquet Cook or similar role in a high-volume culinary environment
  • WA Food Workers Card required
  • All candidates must pass a background check prior to employment
