About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Architect the Narrative: Define and own SE Ranking’s positioning as the leading platform for brand visibility across AI Search, SEO, and social. Build a category-defining story that elevates us above point-solution competitors.
- Unify the Brand: Integrate SE Ranking and Planable into one cohesive ecosystem, with clear messaging for SMBs while expanding resonance with mid-market decision-makers.
- Go Upmarket: Develop the strategy to increase ACV and retention — moving from high-velocity SMB into a durable mid-market engine. Partner with Sales and Product to align GTM plays.
- Crack the US Market: Build a dominant presence in the US, with strong brand awareness, demand gen programs, and pipeline coverage aligned to sales targets.
- Scale the Org: Recruit and develop senior leaders across brand, demand gen, product marketing, and regional marketing. Create a high-performing, metrics-driven marketing function.
- Drive Efficiency: Establish clear performance metrics across LTV/CAC, pipeline contribution, NDR, and brand health — ensuring marketing investments deliver outsized impact.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven Scaling Experience: You’ve served as CMO (or equivalent) in B2B SaaS businesses scaling from ~$20M ARR to $50M+, ideally with high-velocity PLG roots and a successful upmarket transition.
- Category Creation: You’ve shaped narratives that transform strong products into market-leading platforms. You know how to create mindshare in noisy categories.
- Go-to-Market Expertise: You’ve built integrated marketing engines that combine inbound-led growth with demand gen, product marketing, and account-based strategies.
- Upmarket Success: Demonstrated ability to shift from SMB-driven growth into higher-ACV, mid-market/enterprise accounts with stronger retention and expansion.
- US Market Impact: Strong track record of building brands and pipeline in the US market.
- Operational Rigor: You bring discipline, data, and financial fluency — making marketing a predictable growth lever, not a cost center.
- Leadership & Talent: You’re a magnet for top talent. You’ve built high-performing teams and know how to balance strategy with execution by empowering leaders under you.
