About the role
- Design and ship a fast, native iOS app (Swift/SwiftUI, UIKit where appropriate) for content planning, creation, and publishing
- Design and integrate AI workflows to present SocialGPT insights and suggestions
- Ensure app performance and usability at 60fps: responsiveness, animations/haptics, offline-first UX, background uploads, startup time, profiling with Instruments and signposts
- Collaborate with product and design, prototype quickly, run user studies, and iterate based on analytics, crash-free rate, and p99 UI latency
- Set up feature flags, TestFlight cohorts, release notes, and crash/trace monitoring to scale and ship reliably
- Contribute to roadmap and design system; establish mobile best practices, code standards, testing (unit/snapshot/UITests); mentor and hire teammates as the team grows
Requirements
- 5+ Years Shipping iOS Apps
- Expertise in Swift/SwiftUI (and UIKit where pragmatic), async/await, Combine (or equivalents)
- Strong command of navigation patterns, state management, and accessibility
- Product & System Design: modularization, dependency injection, background tasks, data sync, caching
- Media & Performance experience: AVFoundation/PhotoKit, background processing, offline caching, networking, Instruments, MetricsKit
- Platform integrations experience: notifications, widgets, deep links, share extensions, authentication, analytics/experimentation, App Store submission guidelines
- Self-starter; creator-obsessed; ability to thrive in ambiguity and ship with craft
- Nice-to-haves: Core ML (on-device assist features), design systems, Android or cross-platform awareness (KMP/Flutter/RN), privacy/security best practices for media apps
