About the role
- A Curriculum Content Developer provides vision and leadership in the design and development of highly effective education products to meet a client’s specific needs.
- This position works directly with the Director of Publishing Operations and Content Manager to weave research-based pedagogy and subject matter expertise into market-leading products that challenge and grow all students.
- A Curriculum Content Developer also acts as a project manager.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience developing content for K-12 students for publication at the state or national level
- 2+ years of teaching experience
- Proven effectiveness at leading teams, working across teams, and/or participating in the design of a curriculum at the direction of an organization’s leadership
- Proven effectiveness at reviewing content for standards alignment, clarity, and cohesion
- Strong familiarity with both digital and print development projects
- Strong understanding of grade-appropriate content, college- and career-ready standards, and pedagogy
- Current on relevant research
- Ability to adhere to client requirements and deadlines
- Significant experience working in publishing tools (Content templates, InCopy, assessment platforms, etc.)
- Belief that all students are capable of engaging in rigorous, meaningful work
