About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Process and maintain credentialing and re-credentialing in accordance with client facility policy, Joint Commission standards, and state and federal regulations
  • Verify board certification, residency/fellowship training, medical licenses, DEA status, National Practitioner Data Bank records, peer recommendations, and criminal background checks
  • Direct and facilitate clinical practitioner onboarding and medical staff applications
  • Evaluate practitioner credentials for placement suitability at hospital clients
  • Identify red flags and collaborate with practitioners to document issues and responses
  • Communicate practitioner or client issues to the team
  • Initiate and coordinate the Risk Review Process
  • Recommend action regarding clinical practitioner onboarding
  • Coordinate primary and/or supervising collaboration with medical and nursing boards as needed
  • Anticipate and remedy potential onboarding delays
  • Monitor information collection, follow up on missing items, and request verifications
  • Advise the Manager of questionable information and process issues
  • Maintain confidentiality of privileged information and promote data integrity
  • Work with MSL Leads to standardize and improve processes, provide system feedback, and maintain accurate database information
  • Communicate with internal and external customers as a liaison between the Company, clinical practitioners, and clients
  • Provide updates to practitioners, regional teams, and clients
  • Manage practitioner expirables and facilitate reappointment processes
  • Secure Provider Enrollment Packets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to apply critical and strategic thinking to solve issues and concerns
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time
  • Effective communication at all organizational levels
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of hospital credentialing and physician scheduling processes
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in a healthcare setting in CVO, hospital, private practice, or healthcare management company
  • Previous HCP credentialing and re-credentialing experience is a plus
  • Previous experience with Medical and Nursing Boards is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, DocuSign, and Conga Action Grid
  • CPCS certification is a plus
