About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Trading, price formation analysis, and optimization of the Day-Ahead and Real Time (DART) bidding strategy.
  • Assess market fundamentals daily and determine bidding strategies.
  • Adhere to internal trading limits and execute timely submission of bids.
  • Maintain a daily model and report to account for profits and losses.
  • Follow and make recommendations on capacity auctions and various revenue optimization activities.
  • Report directly to the Manager of Energy Trading.
  • Engage with the Origination and Transmission teams to ensure trading strategies match fundamentals.
  • Report upon and discuss monthly the trading strategies and approaches.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an accredited college program.
  • 1+ years of experience in Day-Ahead and Real Time trading in energy.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Experience in PJM, ERCOT, MISO, and SPP Day Ahead and Real Time Markets.
  • Understanding of U.S. power markets and transmission system.
  • Proficiency in online platforms such as Yes Energy, SNL, Enverus, ISO/RTO Websites.
  • Understanding of Intermittent Renewable Resource forecasting and economics.
