About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Trading, price formation analysis, and optimization of the Day-Ahead and Real Time (DART) bidding strategy.
Assess market fundamentals daily and determine bidding strategies.
Adhere to internal trading limits and execute timely submission of bids.
Maintain a daily model and report to account for profits and losses.
Follow and make recommendations on capacity auctions and various revenue optimization activities.
Report directly to the Manager of Energy Trading.
Engage with the Origination and Transmission teams to ensure trading strategies match fundamentals.
Report upon and discuss monthly the trading strategies and approaches.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an accredited college program.
1+ years of experience in Day-Ahead and Real Time trading in energy.
Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Experience in PJM, ERCOT, MISO, and SPP Day Ahead and Real Time Markets.
Understanding of U.S. power markets and transmission system.
Proficiency in online platforms such as Yes Energy, SNL, Enverus, ISO/RTO Websites.
Understanding of Intermittent Renewable Resource forecasting and economics.
