About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop relationships with major home center retail partners like The Home Depot and Lowe’s
  • Increase in-store presence of ScottsMiracle-Gro brands
  • Analyze and prepare key metrics to educate retail partners on business opportunities
  • Manage and direct work of Merchandisers including planning and scheduling
  • Develop recruiting plans, interviewing and hiring decisions
  • Provide job training and communicate product knowledge
  • Assist retailers in proper merchandising of Scotts’ products

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in retail, merchandising, and/or account management
  • Experience using sales forecasting tools
  • Ability to guide and mentor Merchandisers
  • Problem solving and service oriented attitude
  • Current, valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to routinely walk, stand, climb an 8-12 foot ladder, lift up to 45 lbs and be exposed to weather elements (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain)
