About the role

  • Develop world class relationships with major home center retail partners
  • Increase in-store presence of ScottsMiracle-Gro brands
  • Analyze and prepare key metrics to educate retail partners
  • Manage and direct the work of Merchandisers including planning, scheduling and delegating work assignments
  • Develop recruiting plans and make hiring decisions
  • Provide job training and communicate product knowledge across the portfolio
  • Develop retail sales/marketing plans and assist retailers in the proper merchandising
  • Manage budget by effectively controlling expenditures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in retail, merchandising, and or account management
  • Experience using sales forecasting tools
  • Ability to guide and mentor Merchandisers
  • A problem solving and service oriented attitude
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends
  • Current, valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to routinely walk, stand, climb an 8-12 foot ladder, lift up to 45 lbs and be exposed to weather elements (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain)
