About the role
- Develop relationships with major home center retail partners
- Increase in-store presence of ScottsMiracle-Gro brands
- Assess local market opportunities
- Develop sales/marketing plans
- Supervise the work of Merchandisers
- Utilize strategic selling tactics
- Advise customers through metric updates and business reviews
- Manage and direct the work of Merchandisers
- Develop and implement recruiting plans
- Provide job training and communicate product knowledge
- Manage budget effectively
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year experience in retail, merchandising, and or account management
- Experience using sales forecasting tools
- Ability to guide and mentor Merchandisers
- Problem solving and service oriented attitude
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends
- Current, valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to routinely walk, stand, climb an 8-12 foot ladder, lift up to 45 lbs and be exposed to weather elements
