About the role
- Manages Atlantic Canada “do it yourself” retailers with an in-store seasonal merchandiser & Counselor team (Merchandiser & Counselors), along with the Quebec Regional team (Sales Managers) through infield store visits and regular communication with direct reports and stores to achieve company goals.
- Focuses efforts on sales and merchandising targets.
- Manages the Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) program for optimal inventory and maximized shipments to drive growth within region.
- Builds strong relationships with key decision-makers internally and externally.
- Manages overall budget for territory and region.
- Leads talent management initiatives including recruitment, managing performance, coaching and developing others.
- Ensures safe work environment for all inline with company procedures and policies.
- Meets all administrative and compliance requirements.
- Performs other assigned tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Bilingualism (verbal and written) is a must.
- Strong Leadership skills - previous supervisory/management experience is required.
- 4-6 years of field sales experience, preferably in consumer products.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates strong sense of ownership and accountability, as well as is comfortable with taking initiative.
- Proven history of achieving sales goals and objectives.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Calendar).
- Strong knowledge of retailing activity, sales, and merchandising.
- Understanding of basic accounting/finance principles for budget management.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
