About the role

  • Manages Atlantic Canada “do it yourself” retailers with an in-store seasonal merchandiser & Counselor team (Merchandiser & Counselors), along with the Quebec Regional team (Sales Managers) through infield store visits and regular communication with direct reports and stores to achieve company goals.
  • Focuses efforts on sales and merchandising targets.
  • Manages the Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) program for optimal inventory and maximized shipments to drive growth within region.
  • Builds strong relationships with key decision-makers internally and externally.
  • Manages overall budget for territory and region.
  • Leads talent management initiatives including recruitment, managing performance, coaching and developing others.
  • Ensures safe work environment for all inline with company procedures and policies.
  • Meets all administrative and compliance requirements.
  • Performs other assigned tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bilingualism (verbal and written) is a must.
  • Strong Leadership skills - previous supervisory/management experience is required.
  • 4-6 years of field sales experience, preferably in consumer products.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates strong sense of ownership and accountability, as well as is comfortable with taking initiative.
  • Proven history of achieving sales goals and objectives.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Calendar).
  • Strong knowledge of retailing activity, sales, and merchandising.
  • Understanding of basic accounting/finance principles for budget management.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
