About the role

  • Support the delivery of activities underpinning the Information Governance Framework.
  • Provide support for Freedom of Information requests and advise colleagues on obligations.
  • Support preparatory work for transferring funding and delivery of training programmes.
  • Advise on Information Governance issues, risks, and legislative requirements.
  • Support compliance with information security and information management.
  • Develop positive relationships with stakeholders and internal partners.
  • Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing regarding information management.
  • Manage competing demands and legislative deadlines efficiently.

Requirements

  • Experience of working within information management and supporting data protection and information governance.
  • Good understanding of information management and governance in the public sector.
  • Awareness of connections between various legislations and implications for information governance.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively with competing priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to reach reliable judgements based on complex information.
  • Experience of developing and managing key stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to develop training and guidance appropriate for non-specialists.
  • Qualified to SCQF Level 9 (Degree) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of using Microsoft systems to support records management requirements (desirable).
