About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the compliant and efficient operation of supplier qualification, supplier management, supplier auditing, quality technical agreements, and supplier corrective action processes.
- Support the wider Quality function in operating QMS systems and processes compliantly and efficiently.
- Promote continual improvement through root cause analysis, risk management, coaching, process reviews, and implementation of compliance and efficiency improvements.
- Keep procedures up to date and aligned with internal and external best practices.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety, Good Manufacturing Practice, relevant guidelines, and legal obligations.
- Support team members in developing their skills and functional expertise.
- Deliver activities within the area of responsibility to meet customer and business targets.
- Peer-review and approve work generated within the Quality team, providing constructive feedback to prevent recurrence of errors.
- Act as a functional trainer within the wider team.
- Monitor Quality Objectives, corrective actions, process evolution, incidents, deviations, business targets, and team performance.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience carrying out supplier audits in at least one regulated industry, such as medicines or medical devices; cosmetics or food supplement auditing may be considered with extensive experience.
- Experience carrying out supplier audits in multiple regulated industries is desirable.
- Experience delivering and managing Critical/Major audit findings is desirable.
- Experience negotiating Quality Technical Agreements or similar contractual documents with third parties is desirable.
- Experience in quality supplier liaison/management is desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detailed knowledge of root cause analysis and risk management tools and their application.
- Good understanding of applicable regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Good numerical skills and ability to handle and analyse data.
- Sound knowledge of data analysis tools such as Excel and Minitab.
- Ability to present complex information internally and externally to diverse audiences.
- Planning and project management skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Candidates may be located in the UK, Ireland, or the United States.
