Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, the Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing goods and services, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective procurement aligned with organizational goals and projects.
Source and procure goods, materials (including raw materials, components, packaging for new product development), and services (i.e. transport) in line with company policies and budget
Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers (i.e. CMOs and carriers) to ensure cost-effective procurement
Utilize your wide network in the industry to support new product development and tech transfer projects
Prepare and process bid requests and procurement documentation
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure supply reliability and compliance
Evaluate supplier performance
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data. Develop and manage supplier scorecards
Participate in the development and implementation of procurement strategies
Work with Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure that all quality standards, legislative requirements, company policies and procedures are met, maintained and ongoing reviewed
Collaborate with NPD team on new product development and tech transfer projects
Work closely with all other company departments as required
