About the role
- Developing tools and infrastructure for our development platform, including container platforms, CI/CD pipelines, test automation workflows, and other analysis and engineering tools.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, with a specific focus on improving the reliability, performance, and scalability of our automated testing pipeline
- Drive developer productivity improvements by reducing build and test times, improving feedback loops, and increasing pipeline signal-to-noise
- Develop our internal Kubernetes platform that fuels our developer workflows, including both hosting developer environments as well as our central tooling and systems
- Coordinate with developer teams to understand requirements and workflows
- Enforce best practices when it comes to container development, CI/CD pipelines, and general software engineering
- Work with an experienced and collaborative team, contributing to team discussions around technology choice, implementation, and architecture
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or related fields with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to operate independently on tasks and own feature delivery from end-to-end
- Extensive experience with CI/CD platforms and developing pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration in production environments, particularly deployed as infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred)
- Extensive experience with CI/CD platforms and developing pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred), including automated test orchestration and optimization
- Strong understanding of developer productivity and delivery performance metrics (cycle time, build time, test reliability, and deployment frequency)
- Experience working in public cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Experience developing software in object-oriented programming languages (Python or Go preferred)
- Experience collaborating with a team of varied specialties and external collaborators
- Experience documenting best practices, architecture, and policies for consumption of both technical and non-technical roles
- Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, etc.)
- Understanding of DevOps principles, including secure build pipelines and compliance automation
