About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review, implement, update, and document information security policies and procedures for the ESTS lab
- Manage security audits, vulnerability assessments, and threat assessments
- Direct responses to system intrusions and prepare classified spillage/incident responses
- Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, privacy, DoD, and NISPOM information-security requirements
- Apply computer science technologies to develop, evaluate, and integrate computer systems and networks supporting classified information systems
- Serve as primary liaison to the local DCSA Information Systems Security Professional on classified information-system matters
- Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies
- Support technical documentation and standard operating procedures
- Execute RMF security assessment and authorization requirements
- Support site accreditation and reaccreditation processes
- Update RMF accreditation documentation for assigned systems
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Three years of relevant work experience as a Security Analyst
- Experience developing, editing, and auditing cybersecurity policies, plans, and procedures for government systems and programs
- Knowledge and experience working with NIST security controls and regulations
- Experience conducting vulnerability audits, security configuration checks, and system configuration scans to meet cybersecurity requirements
- Any combination of education and experience may be substituted for job requirements at the recommendation of the hiring manager and approval of the COO or higher
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and DoD requirements relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, and authentication in classified environments
- Ability to comply with Chapter 8 regulatory requirements of NISPOM
