About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provides instruction, evaluation and examination on ground and operational training flights
Conducts student training in courses involving helicopter repair and operation
Serves as subject matter expert in helicopter systems operation
Participates in development and technical accuracy of Program of Instruction (POI)
Administers, grades, and critiques examinations and student progress
Conducts training in a field environment
Applies instructional methods including lecture, demonstration, and practical exercises
Employs training aids and equipment for instructional material presentation
Prepares for classes by reviewing lesson plans and course materials
Contributes to the development and redesign of programs of instruction
Conducts cross training of other instructors
Recommends course content changes
Assists in arranging and writing lesson plans and course material
Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED required; college degree is a plus
CH-47 Flight Instructor / Standardization Course (NRCM)
The Army Instructor Training Course – TAITC is a plus
Flight or Standardization Instructor Experience in a CH-47F within the last 3 years
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a FAA Class II Flight Physical
Must be willing to travel up to 30-50%
Must have Flight Records on hand
Instructor/Writer/Developer experience is a plus
