About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides instruction, evaluation and examination on ground and operational training flights
  • Conducts student training in courses involving helicopter repair and operation
  • Serves as subject matter expert in helicopter systems operation
  • Participates in development and technical accuracy of Program of Instruction (POI)
  • Administers, grades, and critiques examinations and student progress
  • Conducts training in a field environment
  • Applies instructional methods including lecture, demonstration, and practical exercises
  • Employs training aids and equipment for instructional material presentation
  • Prepares for classes by reviewing lesson plans and course materials
  • Contributes to the development and redesign of programs of instruction
  • Conducts cross training of other instructors
  • Recommends course content changes
  • Assists in arranging and writing lesson plans and course material
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED required; college degree is a plus
  • CH-47 Flight Instructor / Standardization Course (NRCM)
  • The Army Instructor Training Course – TAITC is a plus
  • Flight or Standardization Instructor Experience in a CH-47F within the last 3 years
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a FAA Class II Flight Physical
  • Must be willing to travel up to 30-50%
  • Must have Flight Records on hand
  • Instructor/Writer/Developer experience is a plus
