About the role

  • As a Controller (f/m/d) at Schlafender Hase, your mission is to further build, design and optimize our controlling structures
  • You act as a sparring partner for the CFO, executive management and business units, ensuring transparency in numbers, KPIs and processes
  • Your work creates the foundation for strategic decision-making in a dynamic SaaS environment
  • Further development and optimization of the company's internal controlling, including reporting, planning and forecasting processes
  • Budgeting – preparing and monitoring budgets and forecasts with a focus on achieving targets
  • Analysis and optimization of cost structures as well as contribution margin calculations by product, customer and market
  • Identification of cost-saving opportunities
  • Close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Operations as a business partner, and support for sales and marketing controlling
  • Support the CFO with additional tasks and projects to shape and further develop the finance function

Requirements

  • You have a degree in Business Administration or a comparable qualification with a focus on Controlling
  • You bring 3 to 5 years of experience in a comparable controlling position, ideally in a SaaS, software or international B2B environment
  • You have solid knowledge in finance, controlling and accounting
  • You can demonstrate experience in building or further developing controlling structures and processes
  • A strong numerical aptitude and the ability to analyze complex financial data from multiple systems and country entities distinguish you
  • You bring analytical strength combined with pragmatism and a hands-on, results-oriented approach
  • You have excellent skills in Excel and BI tools; experience with ERP/CRM data sources is an advantage
  • You enjoy and have experience working in an internationally oriented company
  • You have business-fluent English
