About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections on products and manufacturing machines according to checklists or inspection plans provided
  • Take decisions on the release or block of suspect or defective parts or products
  • Contribute to technical optimization of quality aspects in production or assembly processes assigned
  • Handle complaints and related cost and initiate corrective actions in cooperation with local operational quality management.
  • Support the preparation and conduction process of internal and external audits
  • Document inspection and audit results and findings in the respective IT systems
  • Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English
  • Advanced computer knowledge and MS office skills
  • Basic knowledge of statistic and calculations preferred
  • Good visual acuity
  • Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship
  • College or University degree in a technical discipline a plus (preferred)
  • Multiple years of experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Experience working with IT and/or SAP systems (preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints (preferred)
