Extrude/Honing Machine Operator – Segment 2, Aerospace
SchaefflerExtrude/Honing Machine Operator responsible for set up and operation in aerospace manufacturing. Collaborating in a dynamic environment at Schaeffler Aerospace Canada.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Set up and operate a minimum of one production process performing single and/or multiple functions
- Perform problem solving and trouble shoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards
- Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by process/machine
- Routinely check process/machine for basic maintenance and take correct action in a timely matter
- Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems
- Meet the skill requirements identified in the applicable training matrix, and maintain certification through company Certified Operator Program
Requirements
What you’ll need- Grade 12 diploma
- Equivalent machining background or mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret production prints
- Adequate computer skills to access production procedures
- Required to perform inspection of own work using precision measuring equipment
- Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas
- Required to train other operators as needed

Comp & perks- Competitive wages – starting rate: $28.85; top rate: $33.10 per hour + shift premiums
