About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set up and operate a minimum of one production process performing single and/or multiple functions
  • Perform problem solving and trouble shoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards
  • Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by process/machine
  • Routinely check process/machine for basic maintenance and take correct action in a timely matter
  • Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems
  • Meet the skill requirements identified in the applicable training matrix, and maintain certification through company Certified Operator Program

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Grade 12 diploma
  • Equivalent machining background or mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and interpret production prints
  • Adequate computer skills to access production procedures
  • Required to perform inspection of own work using precision measuring equipment
  • Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas
  • Required to train other operators as needed
