Plant Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and communicate a clear, future-oriented vision for the site and align the teams towards common, meaningful goals.
- Empower leaders and employees to take responsibility, and promote a performance-oriented, customer-focused culture based on feedback, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Create an attractive work environment that attracts and retains talent, and enable development, contribution, and effective participation while considering sustainable succession planning.
- Actively shape change and initiate impulses for adaptability, resilience, and proactive responses to challenges and opportunities.
- Take overall responsibility for site performance and continuous improvement in the areas of SQCDM1 through KPI-based performance management.
- Lead the implementation of the Schaeffler Production System at the site level.
- Strengthen operational capability through consistent excellence in execution, utilizing smart factory solutions, digital tools, and innovative approaches.
- Develop and implement site-wide standards and guidelines to ensure alignment with corporate goals, with a particular focus on sustainability and digital transformation.
- Coordinate with the Business Unit/Division/Region regarding footprint, product roadmap, budget, and launches.
- Ensure proper administrative operations for all processes and employees and represent Schaeffler in the local community.
- Ensure compliance with legal, compliance, and corporate governance requirements while strengthening cross-functional and site-wide collaboration with engineering, logistics, quality, and other interfaces.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Engineering, Production Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related fields
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in plant management or related roles within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in managing integration processes and leading change initiatives effectively within an organization
- Strong leadership capabilities to guide teams, inspire collaboration, and drive performance towards organizational goals
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiating with unions, fostering positive relationships, and resolving conflicts to ensure a harmonious workplace
- In-depth understanding of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the ability to utilize them to assess performance, drive improvements, and achieve strategic objectives
- A strong commitment to excellence, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a dedication to achieving results
- Fluent in both French and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
