Mechanical Product Design Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop the structure and components of mechanical products in alignment with project and system requirements
- Define, specify, and document interfaces between components and subsystems
- Create detailed product designs, including 3D models and technical drawings
- Assess opportunities for reuse of existing systems, modules, and components
- Ensure compatibility, availability, and permissibility of selected materials
- Maintain traceability to the mechanical system concept and architecture, where applicable
- Review, evaluate, and implement change requests to detailed designs
- Maintain design documentation and version history in accordance with internal processes
- Conduct design verification and validation activities
- Coordinate technical topics with internal and external stakeholders as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree from a technical university in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
- Sound knowledge of product development processes and manufacturing processes
- Good knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) systems, such as Windchill and SAP
- Good knowledge of technical drawing standards and design methodologies
- Strong technical communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of linear guides, bearings, or linear actuators
- Experience in technical coordination
