About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide functional leadership and direction to the various HR IT product teams, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing environment.
  • Steer and support five Product Owners in their technical leadership roles.
  • Own and manage the HR IT roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and HR strategy.
  • Facilitate delivery of international IT projects, guiding teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating discussions and decisions on product features, timelines, priorities, expectations, and product vision.
  • Take full responsibility for the HR IT budget and hold the Product Owners in the product group accountable for their financials.
  • Define the international strategy for internal and external workforce together with the leadership team.
  • Negotiate contracts with external service providers and ensure contract terms and durations are properly monitored.
  • Collaborate with other HR IT teams to ensure integrated solutions, particularly where interdependencies affect multiple teams/solutions.
  • Work closely with the leadership team consisting of the People & Competence Manager (PCM), the Scrum Master (SCM), and the Product Line Manager of Enterprise Applications.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) leading teams and leaders, demonstrating strong leadership skills including managing complex situations.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a similar role, specifically within HR IT.
  • Technical understanding of SAP HCM, Employee Central, and SuccessFactors.
  • Several years' experience implementing digitalization projects.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum, Kanban, and JIRA.
  • Proficient in managing transformation processes and implementing change management strategies.
  • Good understanding of enterprise integration and the challenges of interacting with complex ERP environments is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
