About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead our Purchasing & Supplier Management team, supporting our Danbury and Winsted plants, with clear strategies and strong decisions to drive operational excellence and supplier partnerships.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures tailored to the assigned organizational unit
  • Monitor and establish performance metrics to ensure effective purchasing activities across all levels
  • Guide and expand the supplier base focusing on quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) targets
  • Collaborate in make-or-buy decisions for sourcing optimization
  • Manage planning, prioritization, and allocation of resources and budgets within the department
  • Initiate and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance purchasing processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a comparable field
  • 7+ years of experience in purchasing and supplier development in a manufacturing or production environment
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a group leader or manager role
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to establish and monitor performance metrics
  • Excellent decision-making and resource management capabilities
  • Proficient communication skills and a leadership mindset suitable for managing teams and cross-functional collaboration
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
