About the role
- Promote and sell Schaeffler bearing products to the Industrial Aftermarket via authorized distributor channels
- Develop and execute territory sales strategies and initiatives to drive market share growth and achieve sales targets
- Proactively build strong relationships with distributor partners and end-users to add value and foster loyalty
- Schedule and conduct regular appointments with branch and customer contacts
- Assist distributor partners in converting competitor part numbers to Schaeffler equivalents
- Support distributors in generating quotes and establishing strategic pricing
- Monitor open orders and deliveries and resolve issues between Schaeffler and distributor partners
- Deliver product training to distributors and end-user customers within the region
- Provide application support and liaise between customers and Schaeffler engineering service teams
- Communicate sales milestones and customer feedback to internal teams
- Utilize Salesforce CRM for accurate documentation of account activities and opportunities
- Collaborate cross-functionally within Schaeffler to support industry and business objectives
Requirements
- Relevant industry experience required
- Bachelor’s degree or technical school certification strongly preferred
- Minimum of four (4) years’ industrial sales experience (48 months), preferably selling through industrial distributors or related sectors (bearings, power transmission, fluid power, fluid sealing, pumps, motors, couplings)
- Highly self-motivated and proactive with strong planning and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new concepts and learn independently
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Salesforce
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory and willingness/ability to travel overnight approximately 35% of the time
- Must reside in close proximity to a major airport (Portland, OR)
