About the role

  • Collecting, integrating, and analyzing large volumes of data from various sources
  • Ensuring data quality, consistency, and relevance, utilizing advanced analytics techniques, and presenting the findings in a clear and accessible manner
  • Improving the existing reporting Purchasing Dashboards in Power BI and creating new reports
  • Ensuring data accuracy and integrity by implementing robust data management practices
  • Participating in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive overall Data management in Purchasing
  • Project involvement (as a lead or a contributor) for the Purchasing Process and operations
  • Extracting and consolidating data from data platforms and creation of outputs on demand
  • Scouting the market data providers for more accurate and relevant data
  • Staying updated with the latest data management technologies and tools, such as cloud-based solutions, big data platforms, and AI-driven analytics and evaluating their potential benefits for the organization
  • Ensuring a continuous collaboration with controlling as a Key Contact Point from Purchasing
  • Fostering a culture of innovation by encouraging team members to propose and implement new ideas
  • Collaborating with other departments in integrating innovative solutions
  • Supporting the development and implementation of new digital tools that improve purchasing activities
  • Providing training and support to end-users on how to use SAP and BW reports effectively
  • Working on continuous improvement projects and initiatives that will bring improvement to the existing Purchasing processes and tools

Requirements

  • Completed studies in Economics/Business Administration, Finance/Controlling, Information Techology or Data Science equivalent. Master's Degree is a plus
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English (min. B2 level)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with SAP within a network organization
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and principles
  • Expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Knowledge of or exposure to Python, SQL or other relevant programming languages
  • Strong knowledge of data transformation tools and techniques such as Azure Data Factory, MS Fabric, Power Automate
  • Experience in at least one public cloud (preferably Azure)
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability and willingness to approach other persons and cultures in an unbiased and open manner
  • Good interpersonal skills (curious, open minded, agility to engage people)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Capability to working independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Focused on high quality and continuous improvement
  • Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change
  • Ability to treat information with highest degree of confidentiality
