About the role
- Responsible for the end-to-end procurement of the plastics commodity group
- Inventory monitoring and material planning (disposition)
- Coordination of procurement activities and support for European subsidiaries in material supply
- Development, implementation and monitoring of logistics concepts to ensure delivery readiness
- Preparation of requests for quotation, obtaining and evaluation of offers
- Issuing purchase orders and delivery scheduling in coordination with production planning/work preparation and suppliers
- Sourcing and qualification of new suppliers, nationally and internationally, including necessary on-site visits (Europe)
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training with a technical additional qualification or a degree (e.g., Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering)
- Knowledge of plastics technology
- Several years of professional experience in procurement, ideally in the plastics technology segment (polyethylene)
- Professional demeanor and strong team orientation
- SAP and MS Office skills desirable
- Very good written and spoken English
