About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide project management leadership for enterprise digital, AI, and IT initiatives aligned with SHN priorities and strategic objectives
Leadership accountability for Senior IT Project Managers and Business Analysts across multiple SHN sites
Accountable for the enterprise IT project portfolio, including resource planning, capacity management, risk escalation, and performance reporting
Establish and enforce project management documentation standards library for SHN IT projects
Establish and enforce standardized IT project intake, prioritization, stage-gating, and delivery assurance processes
Ensure IT-enabled procurements and solutions comply with SHN architecture, cybersecurity, privacy, procurement, and regulatory requirements
Ensure department and unit-specific business and enterprise architecture documentation is routinely updated
Partner with clinical and corporate leaders to support planning, change management, and execution of IT enabled enterprise initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Undergraduate degree in Health, Management, or Information Technology (required)
Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT and/or digital project management
5–7 years in a leadership role at Senior Manager or Director level
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
ITIL certification preferred
Experience in a Canadian healthcare organization with strong understanding of clinical and operational environments
Experience with vendor relationship management
Strong track record of ethical leadership, professionalism, and organizational stewardship
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to engage multidisciplinary teams
Excellent work performance and attendance record
