About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own how Scanner is deployed, upgraded, and operated across its managed SaaS and Bring Your Own Cloud deployments
- Run infrastructure across Scanner’s AWS accounts and customer AWS accounts
- Operate infrastructure indexing and querying hundreds of terabytes to petabytes of logs per day across dozens of accounts
- Ensure efficiency, observability, uptime, and enterprise security
- Manage infrastructure-as-code deployments and cloud infrastructure
- Own CI/CD end to end
- Build and maintain least-privilege systems with tightly scoped roles, minimal cross-account trust, private networking, and SOC 2 Type II compliance evidence
- Handle observability, incident response, and cost efficiency at scale
- Write TypeScript for Pulumi code and debug backend services written in Rust
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering
- Deep AWS fluency, including IAM, VPC and networking, ECS, Lambda, and S3
- Production experience with infrastructure-as-code such as Pulumi, Terraform, or CDK across multiple accounts and regions
- Experience owning CI/CD end to end
- Strong focus on least-privilege systems and enterprise security posture
- Experience with tightly scoped roles, minimal cross-account trust, private networking, and SOC 2 Type II compliance evidence
- Strong operations instinct for observability, incident response, and cost efficiency at scale
- Comfort writing TypeScript
- Ability to read Rust well enough to debug services
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, low-process environment
