About the role

  • Ongoing bookkeeping (accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger accounts)
  • Review, coding and posting of incoming and outgoing invoices
  • Bank and cash postings and account reconciliations
  • Preparation of month-end and year-end closings
  • Preparation of documents for the tax advisor
  • Travel and expense claim processing
  • Maintenance and improvement of internal accounting processes
  • Optional – Payroll: Preparation and processing of the monthly payroll
  • Maintenance of employee master data
  • Communication with health insurance providers, authorities and the tax advisor
  • Support with personnel-related payroll queries

Requirements

  • Completed commercial training, further training in accounting or equivalent qualification
  • Several years of experience in financial accounting
  • Confident use of DATEV (FiBu, Mittelstand Faktura)
  • Structured, independent and reliable working style
  • Discretion and a strong sense of responsibility when handling sensitive data
  • Good German language skills, spoken and written
  • Nice to have: Experience in payroll accounting
  • Nice to have: Experience with digital, paperless accounting processes
  • Nice to have: Experience in startups, SMEs or fast-growing companies
