About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as a Product Engineer (Mid-Level) in the PCO (Product Cost Optimization) area within LRBQ (Quality Engineering - Buses)
  • Analyze cost optimization opportunities for bus chassis products
  • Develop technical proposals and define requirements for prototypes and functional/performance tests
  • Request and follow up on the execution of tests
  • Identify product design impacts and alternatives through studies, calculations, research and technical/economic analyses
  • Document product changes and update Scania forms or systems, including ECOs, PDs, FRAS and 3DEXPERIENCE
  • Make updated information available to Scania engineering teams worldwide
  • Prepare Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Work with Purchasing, Suppliers, Production and Commercial teams on product development and continuous improvement
  • Follow Scania standards (STDs, PDs and TBs) to ensure product quality and compliance
  • Create 3D and 2D part and assembly drawings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • Mandatory experience with CAD software, preferably CATIA V5
  • Desirable experience with the ENOVIA management platform
  • Experience developing heavy-vehicle projects/products: bus or truck chassis
  • Advanced English for daily contact with headquarters
  • Proficient with the full Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of product structure (OAS) is desirable
  • Availability for occasional travel
  • Analytical, creative and organized profile
  • Proactive, sustainability-minded and innovative attitude
  • Collaborative working style
  • Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
