About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as a Product Engineer (Mid-Level) in the PCO (Product Cost Optimization) area within LRBQ (Quality Engineering - Buses)
Analyze cost optimization opportunities for bus chassis products
Develop technical proposals and define requirements for prototypes and functional/performance tests
Request and follow up on the execution of tests
Identify product design impacts and alternatives through studies, calculations, research and technical/economic analyses
Document product changes and update Scania forms or systems, including ECOs, PDs, FRAS and 3DEXPERIENCE
Make updated information available to Scania engineering teams worldwide
Prepare Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
Work with Purchasing, Suppliers, Production and Commercial teams on product development and continuous improvement
Follow Scania standards (STDs, PDs and TBs) to ensure product quality and compliance
Create 3D and 2D part and assembly drawings

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or related fields
Mandatory experience with CAD software, preferably CATIA V5
Desirable experience with the ENOVIA management platform
Experience developing heavy-vehicle projects/products: bus or truck chassis
Advanced English for daily contact with headquarters
Proficient with the full Microsoft Office suite
Knowledge of product structure (OAS) is desirable
Availability for occasional travel
Analytical, creative and organized profile
Proactive, sustainability-minded and innovative attitude
Collaborative working style
Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
