Presales Engineer
Scania GroupPresales Engineer providing technical and engineering solutions for Scania vehicle customers. Building relationships and translating customer requirements into viable vehicle solutions.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical and engineering solutions for Scania vehicles to dealer network, customers, and bodybuilders.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and understand customer requirements.
- Translate customer requirements into practical, compliant, and commercially viable vehicle solutions.
- Ensure vehicle specifications comply with current Type Approval requirements and manage specification deviations.
- Evaluate new product introductions by providing technical and legislative expertise.
- Advise dealers, customers, and bodybuilders on transport engineering solutions.
- Provide technical support to the sales team during customer consultations and negotiations.
- Identify customer-specific technical requirements and develop solutions for non-standard vehicle specifications.
- Prepare and deliver technical product training for internal sales teams and external bodybuilders.
- Act as a key user for sales tools and deliver training to the sales team.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree (or final-year student) in Automotive Engineering or another relevant technical field.
- Previous experience in the heavy vehicle industry is preferred; knowledge of commercial vehicles will be considered a strong advantage.
- Very good command of English (minimum B2 level), both written and spoken.
- Proactive, well-organized, and results-driven with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally when required.
