About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support maintenance of the tachograph test case library, including: reading requirements, creating tests, managing changes to the library, and tracking new requirements or changes to existing requirements. Be vigilant to capture opportunities to enrich the library based on lessons learned.
  • Serve partly (30%) as the team’s Scrum Master, assisting with planning and organizing tasks for all members and running the daily pulse (daily stand-up).
  • Ensure that everyone’s tasks have the necessary links in our system (Jira) to other teams involved.
  • Stay up to date with Scania standards and applicable legislation.
  • Perform various activities in the physical test environment: assembly, use and maintenance of equipment, tools and harnesses, and identify new needs.
  • Automate tests from the library at both software and hardware levels.
  • Develop and execute regression tests.
  • Create test result reports.
  • Support analysis of deviations found in the field.
  • Be aware that maintaining the test library requires ownership and resilience, as it is largely behind-the-scenes and administrative work.
  • Challenge the status quo with regard to cost optimization and process improvements.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, electronic, automation, mechatronics, computer engineering or related fields).
  • Advanced English in writing and speaking due to frequent contact with headquarters (Sweden) and reading international requirements.
  • Experience with C# programming focused on testing embedded systems (automotive CAN network, etc.).
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies.
  • Experience organizing and managing tasks.
  • Knowledge of Visual Studio.
  • Familiarity with software development best practices (version control) so maintenance is viable.
  • Familiarity with software test automation best practices.
  • Sense of urgency and commitment to deliveries and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with equipment: oscilloscope, function generator, multimeter.
  • Familiarity with HIL and SIL concepts (Hardware-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop).
  • Desirable: familiarity with VECTOR tools and CAPL programming.
  • Knowledge of CAN bus and automotive embedded systems.
  • Desirable: knowledge of ISTQB and CTFL certification.
  • Availability for occasional domestic and international travel.
  • Hands-on profile: building accessories and tools, instrumentation and on-site analysis in vehicles.
