About the role

  • Take ownership of the direction and development of the Software Update product area within the Workshop Suite.
  • Define and drive the vision and roadmap for the Software Update product area.
  • Maintain a clear and well-structured backlog with prioritized features and improvements.
  • Collaborate daily with developers, designers, and testers to support efficient development workflows.
  • Align the software update domain with other areas of the workshop suite to ensure a cohesive user experience.
  • Translate real-world workshop needs into actionable development items and product decisions.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and end users to gather feedback and iterate continuously.
  • Monitor the usage and impact of delivered features to guide future development.
  • Align deliveries with customer expectations and SWS's broader strategy; work closely with stakeholders across Scania.

Requirements

  • Experience in digital tools, embedded systems, or automotive software.
  • Used to working in an agile environment and skilled at managing backlogs and setting product direction.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to bridge user needs and technical priorities.
  • Ability to navigate technical and operational perspectives in complex environments.
  • Knowledge of workshop tools, diagnostic systems, or vehicle communication protocols (meriting experience).
  • Experience with embedded software updates or system-level integrations (meriting experience).
  • Previous roles as Product Owner, Product Manager, Systems Engineer, or Scrum Master (meriting experience).
  • Familiarity with Scania's workshop environments, connected tools, or service flows (meriting experience).
  • Experience working with cloud-based platforms, cross-functional teams, and agile methods (meriting experience).
