About the role
- Conduct tests on combustion engines and aftertreatment in modern, computer-controlled test cells
- Operate largely automated test cycles and control/measurement systems
- Install test objects and perform physical assembly work such as exhaust systems, sensors, and measuring equipment
- Work actively with continuous improvements in planning and testing in the engine test cell
- Propose and implement improvements to equipment and processes to optimise test cell usage
- Ensure quality and that regulatory requirements are met; contribute to decisions based on test results
- Collaborate closely with development engineers and other departments within Traton and Scania
- Opportunity for broadening and development through varied testing operations
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering OR technically qualified/interested high school engineer
- Basic technical understanding
- Ability to read and understand technical specifications, drawings and technical documentation
- Computer skills
- Previous knowledge or experience of testing, programming, combustion engine technology, engine control systems, or test cell control systems (e.g., PUMA, STP) is a bonus
- Meticulous, service-oriented and proactive attitude
- Physical ability to install test objects and perform assembly work (e.g., exhaust systems, sensors, measuring equipment)
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Background check may be required; logical and personality tests may be used in selection process
