About the role
- Operate and administer network and security environments, ensuring the stability and performance of data communication services and following Scania's global standards.
- Identify, analyze and resolve medium-complexity incidents involving networks and security, escalating higher-criticality cases to senior levels when necessary.
- Contribute to the documentation of environments and procedures, ensuring operational network and security information is standardized and kept up to date.
Requirements
- Intermediate English
- Knowledge of SD-WAN
- Experience migrating and implementing networks involving switches, routers and low-latency switches
- Advanced knowledge of Layer 2 protocols (STP) and Layer 3 protocols (OSPF)
- Advanced experience with segmented Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks
- Knowledge of wireless networking fundamentals: radio frequency, channels, overlap and IoT protocols
- Knowledge of WAN networks
- Knowledge of redundancy protocols (HSRP and VRRP)
- Experience blocking traffic using Layer 2 and Layer 3 Access Control Lists (ACLs)
- Ability to set up and manage monitoring and management tools, and to operate tools for conducting wireless site surveys
- Application of best practices based on ITIL methodology
- Completed university degree
- Experience in network infrastructure and security
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

- Fortinet NSE 4 certification or equivalent experience
