About the role

  • Operate and administer network and security environments, ensuring the stability and performance of data communication services and following Scania's global standards.
  • Identify, analyze and resolve medium-complexity incidents involving networks and security, escalating higher-criticality cases to senior levels when necessary.
  • Contribute to the documentation of environments and procedures, ensuring operational network and security information is standardized and kept up to date.

Requirements

  • Intermediate English
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN
  • Experience migrating and implementing networks involving switches, routers and low-latency switches
  • Advanced knowledge of Layer 2 protocols (STP) and Layer 3 protocols (OSPF)
  • Advanced experience with segmented Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks
  • Knowledge of wireless networking fundamentals: radio frequency, channels, overlap and IoT protocols
  • Knowledge of WAN networks
  • Knowledge of redundancy protocols (HSRP and VRRP)
  • Experience blocking traffic using Layer 2 and Layer 3 Access Control Lists (ACLs)
  • Ability to set up and manage monitoring and management tools, and to operate tools for conducting wireless site surveys
  • Application of best practices based on ITIL methodology
  • Completed university degree
  • Experience in network infrastructure and security
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
