About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide hands-on DevOps work across the network, servers, and cloud platforms
  • Ensure DevOps and Engineering processes align with security best practices
  • Embed security practices into the broader engineering organization
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using CloudWatch, DataDog, and other tooling
  • Automate security scanning, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks within CI/CD pipelines
  • Manage infrastructure through Terraform Infrastructure as Code
  • Architect and implement blue-green deployments, canary releases, and automated rollbacks
  • Advance software supply chain security across dependency risk, artifact integrity, and code signing
  • Leverage AI-powered tools to analyze risks, identify consolidation opportunities, and generate assessment summaries
  • Build a comprehensive understanding of the cloud environment, configurations, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Expand Terraform coverage, reduce drift, and provision environments and services reproducibly
  • Contribute to HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO controls in the cloud environment
  • Mature deployment practices so production changes can be safely reverted
  • Raise the bar for AI usage within the Infrastructure function and coach the team
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Security, and Compliance in a HIPAA-regulated environment
  • Report into Infrastructure leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Six or more years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, and Cloud Engineering
  • Track record of operating at a senior technical level in production environments
  • Deep understanding of HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO compliance frameworks and technical implementation
  • Experience translating compliance requirements into infrastructure controls
  • Expertise in AWS, including EKS, RDS, Security Hub, Identity Center, and Control Tower
  • Strong knowledge of AWS security and account management primitives
  • Strong working knowledge of Postgres or other relational databases, including performance tuning, backups, and failover
  • Strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
  • Practical knowledge of security best practices and common failure modes in CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
  • Experience building and managing declarative GitOps deployment patterns via ArgoCD
  • Daily use and evaluation of AI tools for IaC, scripting, troubleshooting, security, and code quality
  • Advanced knowledge of Cloudflare for edge, security, and performance architectures
  • Excellent problem-solving and production troubleshooting skills
  • Legally authorized to work in the US
