About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supporting the month-end close end-to-end — ensuring accurate presentation, holding yourself and the senior accountant to deadlines, escalating blockers, and delivering a closed book on time, every time.
Supporting the year-end audit and quarterly reviews — preparing and reconciling workpapers, reviewing working papers of the senior accountant.
Owning technical accounting workstreams in NetSuite — revenue recognition, sales and use tax compliance, intercompany eliminations, and ad-hoc memos for new transactions.
Reviewing and developing two senior accountants through structured feedback and coaching — turning their good work into great work as the team scales.
Assisting the Corporate Controller with ad hoc projects.

Requirements

What you’ll need

CPA designation with 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including time in public practice (Big 4 required) and in industry (SaaS preferred).
Hands-on experience running a full-cycle close in a multi-entity SaaS or other high-growth, recurring-revenue business, with deep working knowledge of NetSuite.
Demonstrated experience as the day-to-day owner of an external audit.
A track record of navigating ambiguity and turning it into action.
Strong technical accounting foundation with ASPE and US GAAP.
Experience with Netsuite required.
Ramp, Avalara and Anthropic (or other AI experience) preferred.
Comfort with AI tools as part of your daily workflow.
