About the role

  • Expand and operate our asynchronous event system (queues, jobs, retry strategies, monitoring)
  • Implement business workflows (e.g., reminder chains, status changes, tasks)
  • Robust endpoints, secure secrets/signatures, simple admin views
  • Solid tests (unit/integration) and meaningful logging
  • Close collaboration with the team, clean handovers & documentation

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Python backend development
  • Practical experience with HTTP APIs/webhooks and relational databases (PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with asynchronous processing (tasks/queues/background jobs)
  • Communicative & collaborative: clarify questions early, use documentation, and seek feedback
  • Very good German language skills (spoken and written)
  • Good English language skills (spoken and written)
