Product Designer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and produce printed product materials, including user guides, inserts, instruction sheets, and other in-package collateral
- Incorporate product information, brand standards, photo editing, layout design, and copy formatting into finished materials
- Translate brand strategy and creative direction into cohesive and engaging physical product designs
- Redesign and refresh existing product designs to align with evolving brand standards and compliance requirements
- Develop and collaborate on creative bottle and packaging concepts suitable for mass production
- Ensure all designs meet print and production standards
- Update packaging and printed materials to reflect regulatory requirements, including state-by-state revisions
- Partner with Product and Compliance teams to ensure instructional materials meet regulatory, print, and production requirements
- Review physical and digital proofs to ensure design accuracy, quality, and consistency before production
- Work with internal teams and external vendors to ensure packaging designs meet manufacturing specifications and production requirements
- Execute packaging designs for product launches and updates under the direction of the Product Manager and CEO
- Interpret feedback from Product leadership and execute revisions with precision and attention to detail
- Identify opportunities to improve design workflows, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration
- Create 3D renderings, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design intent and validate manufacturability
- Maintain organized file systems, version control processes, and documentation for design assets
- Support ongoing brand evolution while maintaining consistency across products and platforms
- Ensure final design files are properly prepared and ready for handoff to manufacturing partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of experience in product, packaging, or brand design
- Demonstrated experience designing physical products and in-package printed materials, including labels, packaging, user guides, inserts, and instructional collateral
- Strong portfolio showcasing packaging, bottle, or physical product design
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
- Experience preparing dielines, print-ready files, and production documentation for packaging manufacturing
- Experience designing for consumer packaged goods (CPG) preferred
- Familiarity with bottle design and packaging for mass production preferred
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven product environments preferred
