About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Safely perform assigned floor care functions according to standards, procedures, regulations, and contractual duties
- Perform environmental services as needed
- Wax, strip, buff, clean, and maintain tile, carpet, and brick floors
- Operate and safely maintain motorized cleaning equipment
- Maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas and clean work areas
- Use appropriate chemicals, supplies, personal protective equipment, and wet-floor safety signs
- Complete assignments and punch-list items in a timely manner
- Fill in during staff shortages in custodial, recycling, or maintenance functions
- Report safety hazards
- Work with employees, leads, supervisors, managers, and customers professionally
- Work independently and support the shift lead
- Understand and support customer service and satisfaction
Requirements
What you’ll need- No education requirement
- 6 mo-1 year experience preferred
- May be required to have a valid driver’s license
- Complete all safety and task training certification
- May be required to be forklift certified
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals and their safe, efficient use
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 5:00PM-1:20AM
