About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Safely perform assigned floor care functions according to standards, procedures, and regulations
Perform environmental services as needed
Wax, strip, buff, and maintain floors
Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
Work with other employees as a team to complete assignments
Maintain a clean work area and assigned areas
Fill in during staff shortages in custodial, recycling, or maintenance functions
Support the shift lead in completing punch-list items
Use required personal protective equipment
Operate and maintain motorized cleaning equipment safely
Clean and maintain tile, carpet, and brick flooring
Complete work assignments in a timely manner
Use appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
Observe safety precautions and use wet-floor safety signs
Work without normal supervision
Report safety hazards

Requirements

What you’ll need

No education requirement
6 mo-1 year experience preferred
May be required to have a valid driver’s license
Complete all safety and task training certification
May be required to be forklift certified
Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
Knowledge of the upkeep and care of cleaning equipment
Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals and their safe, efficient use
Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Ability to work Monday-Friday, 5:00PM-1:30AM
