About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform janitorial duties and all duties listed on the daily schedule
- Operate motorized cleaning equipment
- Maintain daily upkeep and cleanliness of assigned areas
- Report incidents and hazardous conditions to the supervisor
- Comply with safety rules, policies, procedures, and company protocols
- Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
- Maintain a clean work area
- Take direction and respond to supervision
- Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, co-workers, managers, and customers
- Fill in during staff shortages
- Support the shift lead in completing punch-list items
- Use proper personal protective equipment
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct
- Understand customer service, satisfaction, reporting systems, and the work environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- No specific education requirement
- 3–6 months of training or experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Completed all safety and task training certification
- Forklift certification may be required
- A valid driver’s license may be required
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals and their safe, efficient use
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Bilingual skills are a plus
