About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinates assigned division(s) responsibilities in employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, retention and compliance with company, state and federal laws, regulations and policies
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations
  • Partners with training department or identifies external resources for training needs
  • Coaches and assists managers with employee relations issues
  • Drives people engagement through training of site management team on engagement strategies
  • Drafts, executes, reviews, and maintains records of personnel transactions
  • Provides regular departmental reporting
  • Champions talent review processes
  • Prepares employee separation notices and conducts exit interviews
  • Consults with managers and finance on pay activities
  • Completes special projects by clarifying project objectives and setting timetables
  • Investigates Employee Relations issues and grievances

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience as an HR Generalist
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
  • May be required to have a valid driver’s license and meet SBM Driver Approval requirements
  • Completed all safety and task training certifications
