About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Safely coordinating activities within the assigned program
  • Inspecting areas, equipment, and working conditions for compliance with sanitation and OSHA regulations
  • Performing duties of employees within the program assigned
  • Training, supervising and instructing employees in tasks, safety, policies, and procedures
  • Coordinating and monitoring work activities, recommending training and discipline
  • Writing reports such as pass down, weekly, or monthly
  • Performing quality, service, and safety inspections
  • Tracking equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
  • Tracking supplies and maintaining inventory
  • Monitoring employees for proper use of personal protective equipment for safety compliance
  • Reporting employee personnel and customer issues to manager
  • Correcting at-risk behavior immediately and reporting to the manager
  • Providing recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement
  • Maintaining records such as training, inspections, attendance, and metric data
  • Familiarity with supervisor responsibilities
  • May include travel for the position

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Six months to 1-year related experience and/or training
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • May be required to have a valid driver’s license.
  • May be required to be Forklift Certified
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
  • Good written and verbal skills, excellent customer service skills, training abilities, and time management skills
  • Problem solving, presentation, and coaching skills
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to customers, contractors, or employees of organization.
  • Use of forklifts and pallet jacks a plus.
