About the role
- Define and execute the technical vision for a scalable, high-performance data product utilizing Generative AI, advanced entity resolution, and unstructured data harmonization.
- Recruit, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of engineers, fostering personal growth and technical excellence.
- Drive end-to-end data product delivery—ensure on-time, high-quality releases that align with product goals and company OKRs, leveraging a scaled agile process.
- Oversee architecture decisions, with a hands-on approach to evaluating tradeoffs across frameworks, pipelines, languages, etc.
- Partner with product, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable solutions. Partner with sales and customer success to identify future opportunities and to gather data product feedback (particularly quality).
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies in GenAI, knowledge graphs, NLP, and machine learning. Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 8+ years in software engineering management, with at least 3 years at the VP or senior director level. This experience should be in a relevant domain such as enterprise software/data products, cybersecurity, core search/DB platforms, or third-party risk management.
- Experience in various software development processes/practices for delivering predictability and with quality.
- Deep experience building and scaling cloud-native data products on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Broad understanding of entity resolution, data normalization, information extraction, and harmonizing unstructured data sources.
- Practical experience working with Generative AI models in a production environment.
- Capable of code review in Scala, Python, Go, Java, or similar programming languages.
