About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manages all maintenance activities associated with SWPF Facilities or a combination of SRMC facilities as directed by the company.
  • Manages resources to ensure staffing and budget requirements are met.
  • Selects and qualifies maintenance personnel.
  • Enhances morale and performance of employees through effective coaching and leadership to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Fosters an environment in which all work is performed utilizing DOE/INPO Conduct of Operations Standards and HPI tools within a Safety Conscious Work Environment.
  • Oversees departmental implementation of safety, training, environmental and quality programs.
  • Interacts on a frequent basis with SRMC senior executives and DOE for planning, program development, relationship enhancement and problem-resolution purposes.
  • Manages the maintenance training program in accordance with the qualification plan to ensure personnel are trained and qualified to support milestones.
  • Manages the interface and prompt response, resolution and closure of all compliance issues resulting from self-assessments and independent reviews by ORR, QA, DOE, DNFSB and other auditing groups.
  • Manages the development and implementation of maintenance programs to ensure compliance with Conduct of Maintenance, DOE Order 4340.4B.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS in Engineering or Science (e.g. Physics, Chemistry) and progressive professional experience in engineering, maintenance and/or operations; or BS in a non-technical degree and progressive professional experience in engineering, maintenance and/or operations; or High School Diploma and progressive experience/secondary education in a technical, engineering or operations field.
  • Experience must include a broad spectrum of work experiences.
  • Able to apply advanced technical, engineering, and scientific concepts to process equipment problems
  • Previous leadership/management experience dealing with a broad range of employees, cultural backgrounds, education, and experience in a large multi-disciplined organization.
  • In depth knowledge of Site policies and procedures related to the jobs function
