About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides support and coordination in the preparation, development and writing of new or revised technical, operating, maintenance, laboratory, or administrative procedures
  • Drafts and/or revises procedures, descriptive manuals, data sheets, sketches and other documents to enable personnel to safely and correctly perform work
  • Responsible for procedure creation and updates for functional area or division
  • Peer reviews procedure writer's output, prior to formal review process
  • Ensures that technical and engineering documents are reviewed and accurately integrated into procedures
  • Routes and tracks procedures through all stages of the process cycle using automated database and document tracking
  • Expedites critical path procedures
  • Assembles Technical Basis Packages (TBP) for each procedure
  • Maintains an accurate log of active procedures
  • Prepares established and ad hoc tracking and trending reports
  • Conducts regular and periodic reviews of existing procedures according to established site guidelines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma/GED and practical work experience in technical/procedure writing, operations, or E&I/mechanical maintenance
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's or Associates degree
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of process fundamentals and plant systems
  • Basic knowledge of computer software required to generate procedures, correspondence and database changes
  • Complete knowledge of Site administrative documents pertaining to procedure development
  • Comprehensive knowledge of procedure writing fundamentals
  • Complete knowledge of established safety practices (OSHA, EPA, state regulations, radiation control, waste acceptance, and quality control)
